Twilight Saga - My POV - part II

My thoughts regarding the Twilight Saga written by Stephenie Meyer

~ New Moon ~

Ah, the next installment to the Twilight saga. This focuses more on a persons' ability to deal with depression. Bella and Edward is stressed out by each others decision. Bella, wanting to be a vampire; Edward, not wanting Bella to experience eternal damnation. Edward decides to leave Bella in the hopes that she would have a normal human life. Bella then succumbs into depression. Stephenie Meyer clearly captured how a human usually goes to the stages of moving on after experiencing downfall.

Jacobs' character is given more priority in this book. Stephenie gave more attention to Jacobs' character as a reference to the following books in the saga.

The climax of the story is when Bella jumps off the cliff and Alice Cullen saw this in her vision. She thought that Bella had died and Rosalie seeks Edward to tell him of the news. Edward, who will forever be inlove with Bella goes to Italy to seek the Volturi. For him, existing is no longer an option if Bella had passed away. This clearly was a misunderstanding. Jacob saves Bella. Alice did not see this because Jacob is a werewolf. This is the flaw in Alice gift of premonition. So Alice and Bella goes to Italy to try and save Edward from the Volturi.

The Volturi is a vampire coven that enforces the sacred rule of the vampires - secrecy. The vampire's existence must be kept secret from humans. The human is subject to death by the Volturi if he/she knows the true nature of a vampire.

The book as a whole is quite confusing. The beginning till the middle of the book was like a build up to something big about Bella and Jacob. I was worried that Edward had been cut in the story so I sneaked a peek at the last pages of the book. I felt that the third section of the book has been rushed to present the story of Edward being saved from the Volturi.
